Make your own unique epoxy charcuterie board. This class will walk you through the entire process from purchasing your wood, creating your mold, and the different types of epoxy. You will pour your own epoxy and learn to demold, shape and sand to a finished product. You will be able to take your board home for years of enjoyment. Enrollment in the class includes a one month membership at the Fort Collins Creator Hub.
Students will receive instruction on making their own 10 x 18 inch charcuterie board* from the high quality epoxy and hardwood provided.
The class will take place in 2 two-hour sessions over consecutive weekends. The first will cover the selection of wood, preparing the mold, mixing and coloring of the epoxy and the pour. The second class will start in the classroom with removal of the mold and then move to the finishing of the board using the woodshop equipment. The class will finish with an overview of sealing the wood and epoxy surfaces.
Session 1: March 16, 2025, 9:00 PM - 11:00 AM
Session 2: March 23, 2025, To accommodate the woodshop equipment we will split this class into two groups. You will attend one of the following sessions: 9:00AM-11:00AM OR 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Students should wear clothes that can get dirty or stained by the epoxy and finishing process.
