Lulzbot TAZ v1 OpenSCAD/STL files

I have acquired what looks like a home-made TAZ 1. One of the belt holders has delaminated from the X carriage, and the bottom bushings fall out of the Z mounts (idlers?). So, I need to print some replacement parts to get it back in working order.

I'd like to print an X carriage mount that can accept recent heads and probably acquire a new head from a newer printer version. I assume the rods are the same spacing on all TAZ, so I can just print a TAZ 4 or 5 or 6 carriage and use it on this older design? I'm also tempted to redo all the Z mounts to re-arrange the Z rods to a more recent design, but maybe I'll do that as a later step.

So the question is: With Aleph having almost gone out of business, their devel site seems down and I can't find where to download the original OpenSCAD/STL files. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Wow.  Sounds like some fun restoring/upgrading that machine.  I did download the files for the printers we have at the Creator Hub (Mini 1, Taz 3 and Taz 5) but not the Taz 1.  I included some links below that might help you find the parts that you need.  The best help will come from the Lulzbot forum.

You may find that you will need to spend nearly as much money to upgrade the machine as you would to buy a new Prusa or used Taz 5 or Mini.  The last time I looked into new threaded rods for the Taz 5 I found that it would cost $150.  The smooth rods are a chunk of change as well.  A new print head is $100 to $300 depending how much you want to assemble by hand.  You may also need new wires or a Rambo board which can be another $150 to $200.

    Ted.

I found STL parts for some TAZ non-numbered model here:

Another source for Lulzbot parts (they help me keep the Taz 3 and 5 going):

Thanks! I'd found Aleph's github account but not gitlab; I'll see what I can find there.

Luckily, the Rambo works fine, along with the motors, and heater/thermistor in the tool head. The Z stepper was skipping with the default Marlin settings, but the step rate defaulted to something insanely fast, and dropping it down fixed that. A0 input on the Rambo doesn't work, but I moved the thermistor to the A1 pin and it's fine.
